New Matrix Methodology for Algorithmic Transparency in Assembly Line Balancing Using a Genetic Algorithm

چکیده

This article focuses on the Mixed-Model Assembly Line Balancing single-target problem of type 2 with single-sided linear assembly line configurations, which is common in industrial environment small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The main objective to achieve Algorithmic Transparency (AT) when using Genetic Algorithms for resolution balancing operation times. done by means a new matrix methodology that requires working product functionalities instead references. achieved AT makes it easier process engineers interpret obtained solutions factors influence decisions made algorithms, thereby helping later decision-making process. Additionally, through proposed methodology, computational cost reduced respect stand-alone use Algorithms. produced validated its application an industry-based paradigmatic example.
